What price?

Tell me, what price do you put on friendship?

Ohhhhh, I felt that resistence. So you don't think you put a price on friendship? Okay, I would like to explore that for a moment, and let's see what we find, okay.

First we have the relationship that develops because of the businesses you are a part of. Is this really a relationship, a 'friendship'. Let's give it a test. Would you be in a relationship with this person if there were no business aspects involved, nothing of a financial nature? Ahhhh, now we are beginning to see a little bit.

Next, we have the relationship that develops because time has passed and you are still in contact with another person. Is this really a relationship, a 'friendship'. Again, I suggest we give it a test. Would you be in a relationship with this person if you just met them today? If you had not known this person for 20 years would you overlook the way they talk down to you? If you had not shared multiple experiences with this person, would you want to have conversations with them, and what would those conversations look like without the commonality of shared time together? Ahhhh, we are beginning to see a bit more clearly now.

Next, we have the relationship that develops due to social settings. This is probably the most shallow of all relationships, as it is based upon nothing more than a common interest in blending with other people. If you did not share a common interest, concern, hobby, etc., with these people, would you choose to have them as a part of your daily life?  Okay, now the eyes are becoming quite clear.

And last but not least, we have the relationship that exists because of a bond, whether that bond be blood, marriage or children, because of this bond we feel committed to being in a relationship with another person. And yet we change as time passes. We move in different directions. We may have never been going in the same direction as someone that we are related to, and yet because we share DNA we believe that we must be in a relationship with another person.

Relationships, like everything else, are transient. Our very existence on this physical plane is transient, and yet we try to attach permanence to all aspects of this existence, as though those aspects will continue to exist beyond us.

I propose that you are not a commodity. You are not an object to be used to further another persons existence. You are not a tool to be used to make another persons life better. You are not a thing that is here to be used and used up by others. You are a being of light and love, that is having a physical experience in order to understand yourself. Everyone around you is the same. All aspects of the outer world that you feel is so important, including relationships, is nothing more than the dressing that surrounds us. All things physical could fall away this moment, and you would still exist. Try to understand this and you will come closer to understanding the truth of yourself.

I suggest that you look around and see through everything that surrounds you. Know that nothing physical is permanent, and see all beings and all things as temporary dressing that you are enveloping yourself with for the moment. Now see yourself dropping that dressing and choosing another. Life is as simple as this. Do not be so caught up in any one, or any thing, that you lose yourself. After all, without you as the observer, nothing could be observed.

Being Human

Every moment I spend with you is one for which I am thankful, for you remind me that I am a spirit having a human experience.

As I watch your growth, I see my own.

As I hear your questions, I hear my own.

As I feel your pain, I feel my own.

As I walk with you, I walk with myself.

As I learn, I see you learn.

As I understand, I hear you understand.

As I remember, I know you remember.

Never a moment is wasted, as it is all perfect growth.

Never an encounter is hated, for it is all perfect understanding.

Never a regret is had, for it is all evolution.

Always know that you are part of all, and as such every encounter you have with life in any form is a part of your growth.

There are no bad encounters, there are no bad people, there is only life. And the life we wish to see, is the life we will see. Look deeply within your being and hear your spirit speak, and know the answers to your desires.

The art of unburying

I have, for the past several weeks, been going through another intense period of growth. As always it has deeply affected me on every level. This is as it should be. However, it brings to mind several thoughts.

As I have progressed on this path I have learned to release many things. Thoughts, feelings, anger, frustration, hatred, judgement, experiences and people. I have learned to change my language, my thoughts, my entire being. I have wandered upon this world without leaving my sanctuary. I have communicated with beings of all types. I have come to understand many truths.

One of the truths I have come to understand is that as I experience new rememberings about myself it is easier and easier to release things I have been holding on to for lifetimes. And more difficult to release things I have been holding on to in this lifetime. It seems the deeper something is buried, the easier it is to dig up, while the more shallow graves require much more effort. I believe that this is due to the fact that the deep stuff, the stuff we have carried within several life experiences has reached a state of finality that is brought into this life existence, while the things we learn within this life experience are held within the physical form we have taken for this time around.

As I have been traveling through this latest phase of evolution, I am finding that I no longer recognize myself as a body. It seems that my physical form is becoming less and less familiar, and I am spending more and more time within my spiritual form. This is a wonderful progression, for which I am very happy. And yet it brings to mind the thoughts that come with having a physical form regarding loss.

Is there really such a thing as death? Or is death just another transition from one existence to another? Of course, I believe that it is just a transition, and yet I am in the midst of experiencing emotions as I release aspects of this lifetime that I am finding buried deep within myself. Another conundrum to be sure. So for this day I am allowing myself to envelope the feeling of loss, as I believe that it must be something I have chosen to experience. I am mourning what has been, while at the same time knowing that it was all about growth and learning. I am grieving what will not be again, while understanding that everything is about evolution. I am walking a line between feelings and understandings, and the line is quite thin.

If you are experiencing a loss of any sort in your life, take the time to grieve for it, whether it be a loss by death, a move, a job change, a divorce, or any other sort of loss. Let yourself feel the emotions that are involved and know that these feelings are part of the learning process you are in. By acknowledging all changes, feeling whatever comes with those changes, and then going forward, you will not bury these changes within yourself. You will instead embrace the experience and be more evolved for it.

True Love

True love. A phrase we hear a lot." Oh look, that must be true love." " Gee, I sure wish I could find true love. " "People are so lucky that have true love in their lives. " As these examples show, the phrase true love is most often spoken about other people. Do you ever wonder how often those same people that you are observing and crediting with having true love in their lives, are thinking the same thing about other people?

Today I would like to present to you that YOU DO HAVE TRUE LOVE IN YOUR LIFE, EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

I believe that the problem with understanding that we have true love in our lives is that we don't really comprehend what true love is. So for a moment, I want you to stop and think about this. What does the phrase 'true love' mean to you?

Most people associate this phrase with a relationship with another person. And for most people it has to do with the other person's acceptance of who we are, at any given moment in time. What this breaks down to is that you believe that in order for you to experience 'true love' you must feel this from another person.

THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE!

True love, or pure love is the love we feel for ourselves. It is the understanding of who we are. It is the ability to stop judging ourselves. It is the knowing that we are pure spirits, divine in nature, operating in and through the energy of divine presence. It is the ability to look in a mirror, and say to the image you see, with no reservations, no hesitation, no limitations, I LOVE YOU! This is true love.
This is the love of divinity. This is the understanding of hope, compassion, joy, fulfillment, peace. This is bliss.

This is what we are all striving for, seeking, searching for in every book, tape, video, workshop, etc. This is what we are hoping someone else will tell us how to find. This is what we put out billions of dollars every day trying to find. And I say to you, YOU ALREADY HAVE IT! You have pure love within your very being. This is the stuff from which you are created. This is the energy that made you. This is the light that you are. There is nothing else you can be.

We are created from divine energy, which is the essence of pure love. No doubts, no discussions, no expectations. Just love. As this is what we are made of, this lies within the essence of who we are at all times. It never leaves us. It never judges us. It never denigrates us. It simply is us. Pure love. That is who you are, every moment that you are, is a moment of being in pure love.

So for today I suggest that you stop wishing for something you already have, and take a moment to feel the love that is within your being. Let it wash over you. Let it break through your barriers. Let it explode from within to shine from all of your essence. Know that you are true love, and revel in that knowledge.

Shining forth for all to see, SisterSea

Dark night of the soul

When we are struggling with any aspect of our lives, whether it be health, finance or relationship issues, we are the most vulnerable to the many aspects of the human condition that cause us pain.

Whether we choose to live a life that is filled with friends and family or a life of solitude, we are at some point going to encounter the difficult aspects of life. When this happens, it is very easy to find that we sometimes slip out of our bliss and into our humanness. This is the time when we begin, once again, to listen to all the chatter that is constantly filling our heads. And during this time, we come face to face with more of our fears.

Every day I encounter people that seem to live very happy lives. They are in a relationship that seems to be perfect. Or they have a job that is a joy and pays well too. Or their lives are filled with friends that care about them. And as I observe these people, as I tune in to their energy, I hear the truth of the fears that they live with. And although they may be small, they are still there. One of the truths of the human condition is that as long as we are experiencing physical form in a physical world, we are still in the process of learning. And that means that we are in the state of duality that allows us to experience physical form. And that state of duality contains both sides of every emotion. There is love, and there is hate. There is confidence and there is fear. There is health, and there is unhealth. There are riches and there is poverty. Every part of our life has an opposite. This is the scenario we set up when we came here. To know the divine, we must understand the opposite of the divine. What is the opposite of divine? Everything that is not pure love.

I am not saying that no one experiences happiness. Nor am I saying that everyone is miserable. I am saying that as long as we are in human form, we will continue to experience both aspects of the duality of human life. And as long as we doing this, we will have dark nights of the soul. Whenever you are feeling down for any reason, you open your mind to all the thoughts you still carry that are not positive. And they are just waiting for you! And they are so happy to see you! Out they come, like little black dogs, wagging their tails, jumping up and down, and filling you with all the negative aspects of life that you don't want to see and hear!

So the next time you find yourself in a state of despair, just stop. Stop whatever thoughts you are having, stop whatever feelings you are experiencing, stop the chatter in your mind. Just stop! Okay, now take a deep breath. Now let it out. Now take another deep breath. Now let it out. Okay, one more deep breath. Now let it out. Okay, now you are beginning to feed your starving body the oxygen it has been needing while you were in a state of disrepair. Now with every breath you take in, feel the love the universe is surrounding you with. And with every breath you breathe out, release part of the angst you are feeling. Soon you will find that you are feeling a little better. Now stand up and stretch. Really stretch your arms, your legs, your torso. Move your head around. Roll your shoulders. Start to feel the tension your body has been holding, and then release it. Once you have begun the process and can feel the changes happening within yourself, take yourself to your quiet place and meditate for a while. Place yourself in a state of gratitude for these experiences. After all, without these experiences you would never understand the state of bliss you strive for.

I know that each of us is being the best we can be. There is nothing else we can do. As we grow and learn we become closer to knowing our divine self. In that moment when we truly know our divine self, we will once again find ourselves in a state of complete possibility.

Being alone

I have recently observed that as the energy of this planet is healing and the universal flow of feminine and masculine energy become more balanced, as the tear in the universal flow is being healed, more and more people are struggling with the whole issue of separation.

It would appear, to the unseeing eye, that humans are becoming more separate, rather than becoming closer together.

The reality of this is that as the human race is facing the last of the lessons that it must embody before the process of evolution becomes complete the fear that humans still operate within is becoming larger as it becomes smaller.

I mean by this that the idea of fear is becoming more prevalent. We are surrounded by images and circumstances that are designed to bring fear to the front of the mind. This is happening because we have over time removed a lot of the fears we chose to operate with. We no longer fear leaving our cave because something might eat us,(well perhaps in a metaphorical sense), we have created farms to grow food so that we need not fear starvation (depending on which governmental system is operating), we have learned to weave so that we can cover ourselves in the cold. As a race, mankind has removed many of it's own fears through time. And this is the meaning of being larger as it becomes smaller. As there are less fears to face, we are more able to be truly faced with them. And so we present them to ourselves in many forms and formats.

So we need to understand that as we are facing all of these final changling lessons, we are all in this together. No one of us is ever alone. All the life of this world is connected to itself. All the life of this world is connected to all the life of all other worlds. Know that in the being of one, in the interconnectedness that life truly is, we can never be alone. It is impossible.

Take comfort in this knowledge. When you are facing one of the dark nights of the soul, know that you are not facing it alone. All the world is facing it with you. And we have each others back. We are our support system. We are all one in the living, breathing energy that is life.

Understanding simple pleasures

In my sanctuary there is one human, 3 four legged beings, and many rooted beings. By living daily with these beings I have come to appreciate the true meaning of simple pleasures.

One of my four legged companions is of the dog variety. He is very easy to please, as he has so few needs. I provide him with food and shelter, and we provide each other with love. However, as this friend of mine is getting up in years, I have become aware of things that I could do to make his life more pleasant. And one of those things was as simple as understanding how much he wants to be where I am. Once I comprehended this desire of his, a simple accomodation of moving his bed from the main living area into the office area when I am in here working, has made him so much happier! Such a simple request, easily accomodated, and now he is twice as happy as he was before, and that's a lot since he's a pretty happy being all the time!

My rooted friends are also very easy to please. A little water, a little food once in a while, and some sunshine and their world is pretty complete. However, again, I was not paying attention, and recently was rearranging my household and moved a couple of the plants to different areas, and I was rewarded by a  multitude of thanks. Now their heads are higher and they emanate more joy. So simple, and yet so valuable!

By observing how these simple changes have affected the less complex members of my household I am reminded that the simplest of acts can often create a world of difference in someone's life. I am daily making changes in my life that increase my joy. And I strive daily to reach out and touch other lives with loving energy, in the hopes that it will make a difference in other's lives.

Each of us has the ability to make monumental changes in the world, with just simple, tiny acts. We only need to be aware. So the next time you see someone that looks like they could use a smile, give them one of yours, you have plenty to spare. When you are speaking to someone that appears to be in a negative place, shine your love in their direction, you will never run out. If you find yourself in a situation that is tense and troublesome, take a deep breath of peace and know that it is being shared by all those around you, and there is never a lack of breaths you can take.

It is so simple to remember to be loving to ourselves, and it is so simple to extend that feeling to others. We live in a world of abundant supply, all we have to do is understand the form and method in which we choose to receive, and all we need, all we want, all we desire is at our fingertips. For myself, my only want, need and desire is to be love and share that with the world. Take a look around, and know that in the giving of the simplest gift, a smile, a breath, a movement we are making a difference in the world. I suggest that for today, you make a difference.

Letting go

One of the most wonderful things about life is that we get to change our minds. Every moment that we spend in this existence is an opportunity to change your mind. Wow! How cool is that!

As I have moved through this life experience I have changed my mind about many things. And each time, I felt a larger sense of freedom. After all, each mind change was simply a matter of releasing an old way of thinking and looking at a new way of thinking.

This 'housekeeping' of the mind is a never ending process as we experience this existence. We sometimes get caught up in doing, thinking, being just one way, and we allow our mind to slip into a slight coma while we repeat the same habit over and over.

One of the most important lessons I can share with you is the lesson of letting go of these old ways of thinking and being. We often believe that if we 'let go' of something or someone we are experiencing a loss, when in fact the opposite is true. We are gaining and growing. We are accepting a lesson or experience that we wanted to have, and moving forward to the next lesson or experience. And how can we possibly move forward if we are still tethered to an old way of being?

So for today, may I suggest that you look around your mind. As you encounter different thoughts, take a look at them, try them on to see if they still fit, see if they still serve you. If they do not, release them, bless them, thank them, and let them go! You will be amazed at the freedom you will experience.

ON BEING PURPLE

I wanted to write this yesterday but with it being the day of fools and all, I figured it would be best to wait a day, so as to not be mistaken for a joke.

In a perfect world, one in which everyone lives in peace, and their lives are filled with joy and love, everyone is purple! Why, well, why not? Purple is a beautiful color, it is a color of enlightenment, it is a color of depth, it is a color on the highest mountains and in the deepest seas, it is a perfect color. However, this is not why everyone would be purple.

You see, the color of all beings of any given species, specifically any species that considers, that thinks, that ponders, should always just be one color. In this manner, there is less to think about, less to ponder, less to consider. And if we did not have to wonder why anyone else was different from us, then perhaps we would begin to understand that we really are all one.

On this planet, the two greatest physical divisions of the human race are sex and color. So let's just eliminate color, and then we only have one physical division. And one we can work on. Two is too many, one is manageable. Then we can focus on that one division, and dissolve it as well.

So to you today, I suggest that we all become like the eggs we dye and become purple. What would happen if suddenly, throughout the entire world, everyone became purple instantly? Would chaos ensue? Perhaps. Would hatred of races end? Perhaps. Would we open our eyes and realize that the peace we so desperately want is right at our fingertips if we simply stop putting thoughts in our way about our differences, and instead begin to put thoughts in our mind about how we are all the same. Perhaps!!!!!!

So from this point forward, I shall see all humans as purple. May I suggest that you give it a try?

In a state of purpleness, SisterSea

Knowing your value

As my journey progresses, I am honored with the presence of more and more beings stepping into their light. As I watch each of these beings become the truth of themselves, I am filled to overflowing with the love that I AM, and send it back into the neverending spiral of life.

I have recently been given the instructions to a world wide journey, and as I flit from one space to another, touching the energy of many beings I am finding that I am being called upon to do even more, and for that honor I am truly blessed.

Daily people ask me what I do. Every time I hear this question, I ponder the answer. Not because I don't know what I do, quite the opposite, it is because I know what I do that causes me to ponder.

This is the question that everyone asks everyone, and the true answer is that we all do the same thing. We simply are. Whatever physical activities that take place during this experience you are currently having are just that, physical activities. These things are not WHO OR WHAT YOU ARE!

We must understand that we are all divine beings, we are one with all and all are one with us in the divine presence of who we are. We are currently experiencing, and that is all we are doing. It is just an experience. Once you pass beyond this experience, nothing that you held of value while within this experience will continue.

We are told many things throughout the time that we exist in this plane, and there are so many differing ideas that the result is generally mass confusion. I know that in my personal experience I have chosen to live a very simple life, and I am quite comfortable in that existence. I don't believe I have lack in my life, I don't believe I have need in my life, I don't believe that I am incomplete in any way. I do believe that my life, my experience, is beautiful and filled with wonder and joy every day. Even when I am overwhelmed by physical thoughts, I bring into my experience something of joy so that I will remember that THIS IS ALL JUST AN EXPERIENCE, IT IS NOT WHO I AM.

I suggest that for one day, you try going through every part of your day with the thought firmly planted within your being, that no matter what you are doing, no matter what you are experiencing, IT IS JUST AN EXPERIENCE, IT IS NOT WHO YOU ARE.

I know that in the busyness of day to day, moment to moment life, it is often difficult to step outside of that and know that we are something greater, but I say to you that this is the truth of your being, YOU ARE A DIVINE BEING, YOU ARE PERFECT, WHOLE AND COMPLETE, YOU ARE ONE WITH ALL.

Being one with all, Sistersea

Taking a Vacation From Life

I have recently been taking a vacation. Not the usual kind, where you pack a bag and go from one physical location to another. No I have been on a vacation from human life.

Does this mean I have come back from the dead? Not at all. It simply means I had to take a break for a moment or two, and stop all the hectic nonsense that is our day to day lives, and just breath and be one with the universal existence that lies beyond the human existence.

During this time I have processed a lot of information, and I return to you in a slightly altered state of being. I find that as I am reassimilating into my normal physical existence, there are a lot of things that just don't have the same value they used to. In fact, my value system seems to have become completely changed.

As we listen to various teachers on spirituality, they all teach different ways of being in touch with your spirit. However, since returning from my recent departure, I find that the beliefs of the original peoples that focused on quiet, dark spaces in which one becomes secluded in order to be in touch with the divine, seem to be the closest to accurate that I have found. As I have traveled many paths on this spiritual journey, I certainly have tried a lot of methods for unlearning the human experience and remembering the spiritual experience, and the closest I ever came to really being in touch with the divine part of myself was when I experienced sweat lodges. I never had the courage to be buried alive, or locked into a cave, but I could handle a sweat lodge. So when I went on this little vacation, I was not able to utilize any of these methods, and so I did the next best thing. I stopped doing anything that did not bring me joy. And in this process, I have learned a lot more about joy.

I realize that we are very busy "living" life. Most of us have obligations that keep us 'on track' day in and day out, whether those obligations are in the form of jobs, families or other committments, they keep us going. Some of us have decided to leave this squirrel cage that we run around in, and just check out permanently. We see these people daily upon the streets of our towns and cities. Have you ever noticed that these folks are the ones that always have a smile on their face?

Most of us have no idea how to escape the race that we are running every day. We just keep running, and running, looking for the flag that says the race is over. And most of us don't think the race is over until we leave this physical existence. And so we just give in and give up. I say to you that you don't have to live this way.

May I suggest, just for a moment, that you stop whatever you are doing, and just breathe. You don't have to stop for a long period of time, even a minute will make a difference. Just stop, right now, and breathe. Now pay attention to that first breath. Was it smooth and easy? Was it deep and engaging? Was it ragged and weary? Now pay attention to that second breath. Was it different than the first?
You see, in the race of life, one of the things we forget to do is breathe. We take little short breaths, sometimes we pant, sometimes we gasp for air, but we don't really breathe.

Breathing, while a natural act that our body does without prompting, is a physical act that we have some control over. And because of this control, we often stop ourselves from breathing the way our body knows it needs to breathe; long deep breaths, full of life sustaining oxygen, deep into our being, refreshing every cell within our body. Instead we learn to 'get by' with little short breaths, that barely keep us going.

So for today, I want to suggest that you focus just a little more on breathing. Pay attention to each breath. Yes, I am serious, each breath. Make sure that you are not wasting any energy in taking a breath that is not doing your body any good. Make every breath you take count! And tomorrow do the same thing. And soon you will find that there are changes occurring within your mind and body, changes for the better.

With every breath I take I send out love, peace and joy. Please do the same. SisterSea

Zen and Washing Dishes

I am often asked in what ways do I meditate, and the answer is many.

One of the ways I meditate is by doing housework, and one of the best ways to do cleaning meditation is by washing dishes. If you will, sit back, relax and let me explain the zen of dishwashing. Now please keep in mind that this is the old fashioned kind of dishwashing I am talking about, not the kind where you load up a machine and let it do the work.

First you have a big pile of dirty dishes. This pile of dishes could represent a particular problem you are having, or a lesson that you are currently experiencing. They have leftover food on them, they don't smell good, they make a big disorganized mess, is this starting to make sense to you?

Okay, so you start by rinsing, or scraping the leftover food off the dishes and organizing them in preparation for washing them.

So now, you have a less smelly, reasonably organized pile of dirty dishes. They are still dirty, but now they are in some sort of order, you have acknowledged them, you have recognized what they are offering you, and you are prepared to receive their lesson. (See how I am tying this all together?)

So now you wash out your sink, put in the plug, squirt a little soap in and begin to fill the clean sink with warm soapy water. As the sink begins to fill, you notice that each soap bubble is reflecting the light and creating a rainbow. Now you realize that your sink is filled with millions of tiny rainbows! What an amazing revelation.

So you have organized the chaos of your life in preparation for experiencing and accepting a lesson. You have made clean the receptacle of your mind and body, in preparation for receiving your lesson. And you are prepared to experience your lesson.

Slowly you set the dirty dishes into the sink containing millions of beautiful rainbows. As you lower the dishes, your hands are surrounded by warm flowing water, soft against your skin, and you notice that the tiny rainbows are now encompassing your hands and the dirty dishes.

You now are ready to begin the process of experiencing your lesson.

You move the dish cloth over the dishes, carefully removing all traces of old food and debris that was sticking to the dish. You run the dish under clean running water to rinse the rest of the debris that might remain, and the soap off the dish. You place the clean, shiny dish in the drainer.

You have received your lesson, accepted it into yourself, and replaced the chaos that it was with a perfect act of love.

This is the zen of dishwashing. I hope you find it as satisfying as I do.

In love and gratitude for all of my lessons, SisterSea

Selective Sight

Today I was involved in a conversation with someone, and walked away from the conversation a bit confused by the other persons words. So I had to ask myself, why am I confused?

And the answer was so simple, and so right in front of me. It was because the way I presented the information I was sharing with the other person was from my perspective, and the words they heard were filtered through their perspective, and the two were not in sync!

Everyday in life we have many experiences. Each of those experiences is filtered through our perception. This means that every experience, even one that is shared by other people, is different for everyone.

I know, you are wondering how this can be. If I see a brown dog walking across the street, and 10 other people are standing next to me, won't they see a brown dog walking across the street too? Alas, the answer is no, they will see something that corresponds to the other experiences they have had in their life that have formed and shaped their perception.

Allow me to explain. You see a brown dog walk across the street. To you this is nothing of consequence, after all dogs cross the street all the time, no big deal, right? Well, the person standing next to you, watching that same dog cross the street, just a lost a family pet because it was run down crossing the street. So that person sees an animal in danger, a very big deal, and their protection for the animal reaction sets in. They will try to run out into the street to save this dog.
And the person standing next to them was just recently attacked by their neighbors vicious dog. So that person sees a vicious animal in their vicinity, and their protection for themselves reaction sets in, and they turn and quickly go the other direction.
And the person standing next to that person is an artist. So they are examining the way the sun is reflecting off the different colors in the dogs coat, all of which just look brown to you.
Are you starting to get the idea?

Every experience we have in life, from the moment of inception, shapes the way we see the world. The blue sky above us looks beautiful to some and frightening to others, and will have no effect at all on still others. It will all depend on what experiences you have previously had with regard to the sky.

So keep this in mind when you are interacting with other beings, whether they are human beings or any of the other amazing beings that occupy this planet. The dog that looks friendly might just bite you if you get too close, because the last human it encountered hit it. The blackberry bush that is filled with juicy ripe berries, just might find a way to stick you with many thorns when you try to pick its berries, because the last creature that took its berries didn't bother to ask permission or to say thank you.

Always remember that each of us, while we are all one, is having an experience that differs slightly from your experience. Does this seperate us? No, I don't believe so. I believe that it gives each of us the opportunity to see things from many different points of view, if we will just take a moment to see things from another perspective. And if you don't understand the other persons perspective, take a moment to reflect on it. And if you still don't get it, just ask. Most beings will be happy to share their point of view with you!

Recognizing Spirit

I often have people come to me to speak about seeing the spirit in others, and the others they are referring to always seem to be other humans! I never cease to be amazed by this. Why? Because it shows me that in the constant struggle to be one with every 'thing' most people seem to forget that the phrase is "every thing" not "every person".

It is imperative in this time of change and growth that we begin to remember that every being on this planet, whether two-legged, four-legged, multi-legged, no-legged, rooted, seated, or in any other form, is just that, A BEING.

We must remember to be one with all the animals, all the plant life, the rocks, the water, the dirt, everything on this planet is alive and has a spirit, and TO BE ONE WITH ALL MEANS TO BE ONE WITH ALL. WE DON'T GET TO PICK AND CHOOSE WHO OR WHAT TO BE ONE WITH, WE MUST SIMPLY REMEMBER THAT ALL LIFE, IN ALL FORMS, IS LIFE, WITH A SPIRIT THAT WE MUST STRIVE TO BE ONE WITH. And remember, this applies even to forms of life that we cannot see, touch, taste, smell or connect with on any "sense" level.

So as you work very hard to remember who you are, and to connect with the universe, don't forget that the universe is vast beyond your comprehension. This is where you really begin to utilize your faith, and know that you are one with all that is, even when you don't know what that is.

Blessings to you in the oneness that we all are.

Pleasing everyone

Today I am going to speak about the human desire to please all the people all the time. I personally have been letting this desire run my life for a very long time. I have only recently realized that not only is it unnecessary, it really gets in the way of who I am.
So I suggest to you today, that you start to look at this habit very carefully. In order to truly examine in what ways you are applying this habit, may I suggest that you begin to listen very carefully to the words you use around different people.
This is is one of the first ways we can see how we are trying to please all the people. You will notice that with different people, you use different words, different speech patterns, different mannerisms, and you will also become aware that you segregate your subject matter, depending on whom you are speaking to.
I submit that if we are truly being ourselves, and if we are truly determined to be the best that we can be at being ourselves, then we need to STEP OUTSIDE THE FEAR THAT STOPS YOU FROM SPEAKING YOUR TRUTH TO ALL PEOPLE.
I know that at first this will be difficult, especially with people that have been a part of your life for a long time, both friends and family. And I know that you will really be in your fear when it comes to applying this concept to people you work for or with. But I submit to you that while you are in the process of living up to the potential that you truly are, being in your highest light, and knowing the truth of yourself, you must take this step. Because until you step out of the fear of speaking your truth at all times to all people, you will not be living in your highest light.
There will probably be many times that others will not agree with what you have to say, and that's all right. Everyone is on their own path, in their own progress, at their own pace. And not everyone is in the same place you are. In fact, you will not be in the same place you were in when you started reading this article by the time you finish it. So remember that not everyone has to be in the same place at the same time. And if they disagree with something you say, honor them with love and know that they are exactly where they need to be at this moment, and you are exactly where you need to be at this moment. It's all relative.
I also submit that by applying this practice, you will slowly begin to see that there may be people in your life that you have held on to, that it is now time to release. As we go through life, each on our own path, at our own pace, people come and go in our lives as our paths change and diverge. Accept this with love and honor the time you have spent with everyone in your life.
When you find that you need to release someone to continue on their path without you, do so with great love and compassion, and gratitude for whatever time they have been in your life. Accept whatever lessons you brought to each other, and know that in the greater scheme of things, we are all one.
Blessings to you on your path. Sistersea

From the Heart

I have been doing a lot of meditating lately about what it means to 'come from the heart'.
We hear this phrase a lot, and most people believe they really know what it means. I suggest that perhaps we really don't know what it means.

Coming from the heart is far beyond anything the mind can imagine. Coming from the heart means going beyond our thinking, beyond our body, into the light of the divine, and truly "feeling" from the still place within your sacred heart.

How can you "feel" if you are beyond your body? What I am speaking of is an acceptance of the divine within yourself. It is a knowing of being one with all, beyond a body, beyond a mind, beyond a planet, beyond a universe.

Once we reach this sacred center of our divine being, we truly are ONE.

If you truly want peace, joy and love in your life, you must first BE peace, joy and love. Not just thinking about it, not just wanting it, but truly being it. How do you reach this state? Quite simple, you learn to be still and hear the nothing that comes from going beyond yourself. If you are not currently practicing a habit of daily meditation, it is time to start. If you do not know how to meditate, there are many teachers that will happily instruct you. If you think you don't have time to meditate, then you need to meditate even more.

Meditation is not difficult, in fact it is the easiest thing in the world. It is simply a matter of focusing your mind until you can go beyond your mind to your heart. It is a matter of being still. It is a matter of quieting the outside voices so that you are open to receiving the voice of the divine.

Meditation is not about religious beliefs. Meditation is not about dogma. Meditation is not about ritual. Meditation is simply learning to be quiet. Once you learn to be quiet, to step out of your own way, to go beyond what you believe to be true, to be open to the possibility of something more, then you will be able to go into your heart. And once you can do that, you will see miracles occurring.

I am happy we are able to share this journey. I welcome you from my heart.

Accepting our greatness

As we travel through this journey called life, we learn many things. We learn how to be less than we are, we learn to believe in lack, we learn to judge ourselves and others, we learn non-acceptance, we learn non-love, we learn a lot of garbage!
Today I suggest that we begin to un-learn EVERYTHING!
So let's start by taking a moment to see ourselves. Pick up a mirror, or go to a mirror, and take a look at yourself. Don't judge what you see! Just look at yourself. And then, take a moment to hear all those voices inside yourself. What are they saying? My guess is that none of it is positive. So for this moment, please do the following: Look at yourself, and while you are looking at yourself, every time a voice comes up that says something not positive, I want you to say (and you can say this out loud or just in mind, it's all the same) I do not accept this, I forgive this, I release this, and I replace this thought with this, I am one with the Divine, I am perfect, complete and whole, and so it is.
And for every thought that comes to you that is not positive, repeat these words.
I know you are thinking that this won't be easy. And you are right. It is never easy to change old habits. But this is what you must understand, these thoughts that are negative or limiting are nothing more than old habits. Its time to break the habit!
So please do this just for today. And just do it for 5 minutes. Then tomorrow you can do it for another 5 minutes. Soon you will find that you are doing it more and more, and the more you repeat to yourself that you do not accept these old thoughts, that you release these old thoughts, and that you replace them with a new positive thought, the more you will find that your life is changing, because you are changing.
And always remember, every change you make in yourself, you make in the world.

Our children

Today I was forwarded a connection to a video on you tube that was done by a 20 year old about her future. This video was a result of a contest that was sponsored by an organization that caters to members over the age of 50.
The reason I am mentioning this is because the person who forwarded the link to me seemed to be amazed that this wise video was done by someone so young. Really!!!!!!!!!
What I don't comprehend is how anyone who has any connection with children in the world today, (and if you step outside your door you have to encounter children at some point) can have any doubt of the wisdom of our young leaders.
They have come and are coming to be precisely this, the leaders of the future world. Those of us that are here now are here for very different reasons. Some of us are here to help teach the young ones in the very beginning, you know things like feeding themselves and talking and walking, but beyond that they are eons ahead of us. Some of us are here to learn a last round of lessons before we transition to a different life form in a different plane of existence. Some of us are here to lay the groundwork for the work that is being done and that will be done. But none of us over the age of 30 are here to be the future leaders.
So get ready boys and girls, it's time to step aside and know the power of the young ones. They will teach you if you will listen.

You are in the perfect place

I have spent a lifetime trying to to remember who I am. Have you ever experienced this not knowing? I have read books, attended classes and workshops, watched movies, listened to teachers, and still did not know who I was!
But that has changed. How, you may ask?
I have decided to change my mind. As simple as that. I decided to throw away all the old things that I have been taught all of my life, and simply open myself to the information that the universe, in all its wisdom and glory, may wish to share with me.
It's really quite funny, as I think about it, the way this all happened.
As someone who at one time was what we commonly refer to as a type A personality, I was sure that I knew what was best, for myself and usually for everyone else around me. And yet, the things that I felt should be happening in my life, either were not happening at all, or were going terribly awry.
I reached the point that I was so exhausted from trying, trying, trying to make everything work the way I thought it should, that I just gave up.
I sat myself down, in the center of my living space, held out my hands to the universe, and said out loud, "Okay, that's it. I'm done. I no longer am in charge of anything. Everything I have tried has failed, everything I thought I knew has been proven to not be true, I'm just done. And I'm not moving from this spot until I receive further instructions!"
And there I sat, for an entire day and night. I had to sit long enough to stop the chatter in my mind. I had to sit long enough to remember to listen. I had to sit long enough to get out of my own way!
And low and behold, once I stepped out of my own way, quieted my own voice, and just listened to the silence, I began to hear something. At first it sounded like running water. Then I could hear the tiny sound of birds in the distance. Then I could hear the wind as it moved. Once I understood that these sounds were not from the outside world, I was ready to hear the voice of the universe speaking to me. It was not a loud booming voice, but rather a very soft, gentle voice. And this voice told me many things. It told me that I am one with the universe. It told me that I am loved. It told me that it was time for me to go forth and teach others about love.
And so here I am, prepared to share the experiences, both physical and ethereal, that have shaped who I am today. So you are in the perfect place to learn who you are as well.
So for today, be one with yourself. Look in the mirror and don't turn away. Speak your word and hear how it sounds. Tell yourself that you love yourself, and practice saying that until you begin to feel that you really mean it.
And for today, know that there is one other being on this planet that loves you.
And tomorrow we will talk some more.
